Landau Associates conducted an archaeological assessment on approximately 4.3 acres for a development that may be funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The cultural resources assessment was completed as part of compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and included conducting subsurface survey and test excavations, recording prehistoric and historic archaeological materials, and preparing a cultural resources assessment report. We also assisted the City and Port of Walla Walla with defining the Area of Potential Effects and consulting with affected Tribes and the Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation.
