City of Redmond (Roth Hill) - Peters Creek Culvert Replacement
Landau Associates provided stream enhancement concepts, permitting support, a biological assessments, a stream reconnaissance report, and geotechnical engineering recommendations for the City of Redmond’s culvert replacement at NE 87th Street. This project was completed in conjunction with a water line replacement at NE 87th Street. Stream enhancement concepts include recommended design and placement of large woody debris in Peters Creek to provide fish habitat, bank stabilization, and reduced erosion and sediment transport. Planting plans for enhancement of riparian areas along the creek were also developed. Landau Associates conducted a stream reconnaissance and prepared a stream reconnaissance report to satisfy the City of Redmond’s sensitive areas reporting requirements. In addition, Landau Associates prepared a biological assessment to determine project impacts on species listed under the Endangered Species Act. Landau Associates assisted the design engineers with obtaining a Section 404 permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and a Hydraulic Project Approval for the project. Geotechnical engineering recommendations were provided for temporary excavation support, construction dewatering, foundation support, earth pressures on below-grade walls, fill and compaction, and wet weather earthwork.
