Tim Logan of Landau Associates Elected SWANA Oregon Chapter VP

PORTLAND, OR October 8, 2015 – Tim Logan, Senior Scientist in Landau Associates’ Portland office Permitting and Compliance group, was elected Vice President of the Oregon Beaver Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA). Tim has dedicated his career to the science of landfill gas management and to promoting the advancement of responsible and sustainable solid waste management practices. He has provided outreach, education, and training in landfill gas collection system optimization, control, and construction for domestic and international colleagues and clients.

The SWANA Beaver Chapter provides opportunities for operator certification training courses, sharing of technical expertise, continuing education units, and legislative/regulatory updates. As Vice President, Tim is looking to advance advocacy around landfill gas to energy (LFGE) and alternative treatment technologies. He will provide a key role in evaluating the educational and outreach activities afforded to the Beaver Chapter membership while strengthening ties with the Evergreen (Washington) and Pacific (British Columbia) Chapters. The first SWANA event under the new leadership will be the Winter Forum held in Salem, Oregon on January 21, 2016 with a focus on regulatory updates on Oregon State Legislature bills, Oregon’s Clean Fuels Program, and incentives for natural gas fleet conversions.
