Landau Associates Celebrates Earth Day at Stillwaters

< Back

Landau Associates staff celebrated Earth Day this year by visiting Stillwaters Environmental Center in Kingston, Washington to help clean up in preparation for their 18th Annual EcoFest, a community science and nature festival on May 13. The Stillwaters wetlands are located a few blocks from the Kingston ferry and are part of a larger system that includes forested, freshwater, and salt marsh habitats.

At Stillwaters Environmental Center, they make wetland and watershed areas more accessible to students of all ages while protecting the natural ecosystem. They offer a nature laboratory for students and are building a community-based center for research, reference, and resources. They also work closely with universities and schools to provide quality environmental education in an outdoor classroom.

Landau Associates staff and their families helped clean up the grounds by clearing walkways and trails, removing weeds and invasive species, and tagging native plants.
