< Back

Remediation Services Director Jerry Ninteman will present a groundwater hydrogeology talk to the WSU/Snohomish County Extension Sustainable Community Stewards Training Program on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.

The program is an 8-week course where students and volunteers work to help individuals and communities adopt sustainable practices that are grounded in credible climate change and natural resources science and options that are relevant to Snohomish County.

Jerry will be discussing sources of pollution, groundwater resources in the area, and what the community can do to protect groundwater resources. He will lead an introductory discussion on what groundwater is, how it moves in the subsurface (hydrologic cycle), how pollution enters groundwater, how pollution interacts with aquifer materials, and he will go over some ways we can clean it up.

The talk will be held at the Evergreen Room, McCollum Park, 600 128th St SE, Everett, WA at 6:00 pm.
